Redstoke Football Club

Andy Hawke has joined Redstoke Football Club as a Junior, and has already made his debut for the club. Redstoke were originally a team who played Melchester Rovers in "Roy of the Rovers" comic, which I read as a youngster.

I remember Redstoke for two reasons. The first reason was that in the season that Roy's team were relegated from the then First Division, they played Redstoke, and could only draw against them, despite the fact that Redstoke were bottom of the league and already relegated.

The second reason I remember Redstoke is that they were the last team Roy played against, before his helicopter accident ended his career.
